Tale of Three Cities

This project uses 1:1000 scale urban models to allow students to put in to practice their learning regarding theories of contemporary urbanism as part of AUDRC’s Masters of Urban Design programme. Each group is assigned a ‘classic’ theory of urbanism and asked to create a spatial models which represent the precepts and tenets of that ideology.

The three cities are the modernist city, the post-modern city and the new urbanist city. Students present their models back to other groups to generate peer to peer discussion and learning.
